It is important to diagnose depression and provide depression help in the early stage because if it becomes severe
it can lead to the patient getting the thoughts of suicide. Person suffering from depression gets the feeling of guilt, he feels as if he is not worthy and there is no one in the world to take care of him, the person may either get too sleepy or may experience loss of sleep and spends the complete night by just looking at the ceiling.

Help with depression includes taking the patient to the psychiatric and if necessary, hospitalize the person. For providing depression help, a person must always stay with the depressed person and constantly look after him and ensure that the person does not remain idle for long period of time. Help with depression from the family members can be in the form of encouragement so that the mood of the patient does not get worsen. If ever a depressed person remarks the thoughts of suicide, then it must be considered seriously as this might turn into reality. For any kind of similar symptom, rush to the doctors immediately. One other way to provide help with depression is to provide emotional support to the individual. Emotional support means that the patient must be encouraged at regular interval of time, all the feelings of the patient must be taken into consideration and any problems arising must be solved with affection. Medicines and psychological therapies are the only ways to treat the depressed people.

Depression help can also be provided by taking the patient for the walk or movies and trying to involve them in such kind of activities. It may be possible that your invitation may be refused but keep on encouraging the patient several times with gentle behavior but not to force the depressed person to do the activities. Since depression leads to laziness, do not accuse the depressed person for his laziness. Most of the time depression can be kept in control with the help of treatment. Constantly reassuring the patient is the best way to help with depression.
