If you can increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables especially ones such as apples, bananas, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, green beans and peas are some, which you will find that you are able to tolerate.



Along with eating a good balance of fresh fruits and vegetables, you should include a good balance of grains and meat into your new diet as well. These particular foods can help your digestive system and so ensure that a good balance of acid stays in the stomach.



Although you may need to make some changes to your diet, you will find that you do not need to give up everything that you enjoy eating. Some people with acid reflux find that they continue eating chocolate without it having any effect on them. However, there are others who will have to eliminate such foods from their diet completely. This is why you should watch carefully what it is you eat and the effect that it has on your stomach and your acid reflux.
